Designing their place in the world
Sisterhood work to support young female entrepreneurs become the leaders of the future. I joined the Summer programme to work with a mentee to visualise her brand. empowered is a learning platform to support young people (11-18) moving to a new country and needing to learn a new language. She discovered there was up to a 6-month 'silent period' for these learners and is looking to bridge the language gap with bilingual tutors and workshops to help with the transition to a new culture and language.
We used the shape of the 'e' as quotation marks to align with the vision and as we built the identity the shape acts as a mechanic to communicate the brands' core values. We mirror this in imagery; always showing individuals with others in conversation to represent our end goal of integration. The founder's personal story and personality are key to the brand which has influenced the joyful and positive colour palette and flourishes.

Following this work I was asked to help support an additional mentee. Her idea: to use ai for good. As a programmer; she felt there was an opportunity to find ways that ai could support humanity. Rather than be afraid of what ai could take away, to make it work better for us. She had a strong vision for the brand using coding visuals such as pixel blocks so we used this as part of the visual identity in a modular way to keep things flexible and ever changing to reflect the fast moving industry of ai.
